Brynmawr
(Big Hill) is located on the Heads of the Valleys Road and is the highest
town in Wales.
It is
a market town with a population of five and a half thousand people. The
traditional market itself has is not as big as it used to be but the centre
of the town is still the Market Square with its Market Hall. This is now a
cinema and theatre showing films and productions from the local amateur
operatic society. The shops around the Market square, are traditional,
family oriented shops with a friendly and personal service.
