The target group for applicants to be housed by New Lease Lettings are single, vulnerable adults threatened with or experiencing homelessness, whose support needs and risk factors have been identified and can be met by ongoing support from the referral agency and/or tenancy support.  Applicants with a recent history of substance misuse and/or offending issues are encouraged to make an application but evidence of regular engagement with support agencies would need to be provided on the application form.

Referrals will not usually be accepted if the applicant does not have support currently in place with a support plan for ongoing support.  However, an agreement has been made within United Welsh that, in urgent circumstances, support can be provided by the Tenant Support Team for brief crisis intervention until such time as a referral for ongoing support can be made and provided via the Supporting People teams.
