Caerphilly County Borough is situated just north
of Cardiff (the capital city of Wales) and
reaches to the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, an area of outstanding
natural beauty.
The town's bustling shopping
centre is dominated by a magnificent medieval castle and has a thriving
'nightlife' with plenty of pubs and restaurants and is close to
entertainments such as multi-screen cinemas and ten-pin bowling. The town
and surrounding areas are well served with good rail and road links to
Cardiff and the M4.
Shaking off its history as a mining area,
Caerphilly County Borough now boasts a growing reputation as a tourist trail
with exciting attractions throughout the area. Good schools and colleges
coupled with pleasant rural surroundings make this an attractive place to
live and work.
