From December 2008 we will no longer be using Select A Home to allocate our properties within Cardiff as we have joined a Common Waiting List with Cardiff Council and other Housing Associations that have homes in the city. These are Taff, Linc, Wales & West, Cadwyn, CCHA, Hafod & Newydd.

This means you only have to complete one application form to be considered for properties which belong to all social landlords within Cardiff.

Homes will not be advertised and you will receive points according to your needs and the time you have spent on the waiting list. Points are awarded for different aspects of housing need such as time spent on the list, overcrowding and medical factors. 

If you are in extreme housing need you may be awarded a priority for Housing, for example if you are Homeless or if you have severe medical needs.

United Welsh will go live on the Common Waiting List in April 2009.

If you are already on Cardiff Council’s waiting list you will not need to fill out a new form but should check your application is up to date by calling the helpline numbers. These are:- 02920 537032 & 02920 537033.
