Pink fashion was the order of the day on 27th October as employees from United Welsh turned up for work in support of Breast Cancer Care.
Everyday working clothes were put to one side to make way for a sea of pink wigs, ties, shirts and even shoes. As pink become the new black, staff and customers bought raffle tickets, wore breast cancer research awareness ribbons and enjoyed tea with pink cakes.
This pink fun was all in aid of Breast Cancer awareness and fundraising for research into the disease. Eleanor Davies who organised the event said, “Although people today are more aware of the dangers of breast cancer it is still incredibly important that we do what we can to support the valuable work of charities such as Breast Cancer Care”.
Every year, breast cancer claims more than 40,000 lives. It’s likely that we all know someone who has been affected by it. Awareness and early detection are our best weapons in the ongoing fight against this killer.
