Integrate
trained on success
The
‘Integrate’ consortium, of which United Welsh is a member, have been recognised
at the prestigious UK Housing awards that were held in London on 9th
November 2006.
The Integrate consortium, made up of eight housing associations, was nominated for the category of ‘Outstanding achievement in social housing in Wales’.
The nomination follows the successful implementation of a skills and learning programme that will significantly enhance the quality of housing delivered through Integrate.
Sarah
Ellen-Stacy, Head of HR at United Welsh was delighted with the award. “This is
wonderful acknowledgement for the hard work that has gone into the skills and
learning programme. Integrate has embraced continuous improvement and we are
confident that this programme will equip our people with the future skills,
knowledge and behaviour they need to take Integrate forward.
“The programme is highly innovative and is promoting major change in procurement practices, leadership behaviour, and service delivery across the eight housing associations”
The UK Housing Awards is an annual event that recognises the excellent work being done by housing professionals across the UK. It is clear evidence that this long-term collaborative approach being adopted by housing associations and supported by the Welsh Assembly Government is making significant progress in the management and development of housing in Wales.
