United Welsh is a not-for-profit organisation providing housing and related services to people in South Wales.  We offer a range of homes including family houses, apartments and bungalows. United Welsh currently manage over 4,700 properties across 11 local authorities. 

Building Quality homes people can afford to rent or buy

We let our homes using a choice-based letting system called Select-a-Home. It is designed to make sure people can decide where they want to live while those in most urgent need are given priority.

In addition, we also provide the opportunity for first-time buyers to get a foot on the housing ladder through a range of affordable housing schemes. Homes within Reach provides a range of equity-share options both grant and non-grant funded.

Growing with People
We provide housing for people 55yrs of age and over through Living +. It is a service that specialises in meeting the lifestyle needs of this group of customers and is committed to developing services as people’s needs change.

Delivering excellence in housing and support services
We work with other support providers to supply homes for people with diverse additional support needs, including those with learning disabilities, individuals of all ages who are homeless, young people leaving care, women fleeing domestic abuse, those recovering from substance-misuse, and people with mental health problems. 

We also directly manage accommodation for people with a range of support needs at our PREP projects and at our hostel, Oak House. 

Investment in homes and communities
We invest in all our residents’ local communities through our community investment team and take a proactive approach to managing anti-social behaviour issues with our specialist staff.  We invest in our tenants’ homes with a planned maintenance programme and a high quality, responsive repairs service. 
 

Partnership
We are a member of Integrate, a consortium of eight like-minded housing associations in South Wales who have joined forces to offer the best value development and maintenance services and materials.
