United Welsh provides housing and related services to people with a wide
range of support needs. We manage over 3600
homes across South East Wales in 12 local authorities,
of which 600 are for older people and 620 for people with
additional support needs.
United Welsh is ‘not for profit’ and registered with both the
National Assembly for Wales (our regulator) and the Register of
Friendly Societies under Charitable Rules.
The Shareholding Members, who elect a Board of Management to
oversee the running of United Welsh, own United Welsh.
The Board is responsible for the strategy and policy framework.
The Board can set up committees to help in this work. United
Welsh currently has two such committees – the Audit Committee and the Remuneration Committee
Responsibility for the day to day management of United Welsh and
implementation of the policy framework is delegated to the Chief Executive
who has a Senior Management Team
to help. Each member of the Senior Management Team is an
operational Director with teams of staff reporting to him or
her.
